The first cohort of intern students from Kunming University arrived safely in Thailand and were warmly welcomed by the chairman of the board and staff from the Chinese Culture and Friendship Propagation Co. LLC as well as leadership from some Thai schools.

At 3:20 in the afternoon, the first cohort of intern students from Kunming University took off on a Thai Airways flight bound for Thailand. Some faculty from Kunming University went to the airport to see the students off. They arrived safely at Suvarnabhumi International Airport and cleared immigration with help from the Thai officials. The chairman of the board and staff from the Chinese Culture and Friendship Propagation Co. LLC as well as leadership from some Thai schools met them at the airport and gave the students a warm welcome. The president of the Thai university came with his camera to personally capture each of their first scenes in Thailand. The president of the East-Asian Middle School and other leaders came a great distance to Bangkok to welcome the students, who were deeply moved by this display of care. Under the careful planning of the Thai leaders, the students will be spending the next half-year interning at three Thai schools: Napahsilong City Middle School, Siliwan Kindergarden, and Dongya Middle School. After their internship is completed, the students will have the option of continuing on as formal employees.

Although they had a busy and tiring day, and their excitement at going to Thailand for this internship made it hard to calm down, they still took the time to let their instructors back at Kunming University know that they had arrived safely.
